Gardens  Club Tournaments

The club hosts two annual tournaments.  The summer tournament is held between May and August, and the winter tournament during the autumn and winter months. All members are encouraged to participate.

Entries are invited via email in Sept/October and March/April. If you don’t have a partner, please enter anyway. Organisers are happy to pair you with a doubles partner if you don’t have a partner.

The tournament events for   Winter   are:

• Ladies' Singles
• Gentlemen's Singles
• Mixed Doubles
• Mixed Doubles 50+ 

Winter Finals date: Saturday 7th March

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

• Enter as many events as you'd like
• Singles draws will be a round robin followed by knock-out finals
• Doubles draws will be knock-out
• Round robin matches and matches leading up to QF rounds will be best of three sets, with a 10-point tie break at one set all
• QF matches onwards will be best of three full sets
• All sets will have a 7-point tie break at 6-6

KEY DATES

• Entries close:   Friday 10th October, 9pm
• Play starts:   Monday 13th October
• Finals Day:   Saturday 7th March 2026​

NOTE: The score entry system doesn't support a 10-point champions tie break. Hence, enter your score as either 6-7 or 7-6 with the losing score in the extra box provided. eg. 10-8 would be entered: 7-6 (8).
