OPTIONS EXPLAINED
- HALL - includes access to kitchen
- BAR - separate space with seating, any drinks consumed need to be bought from our bar or corkage paid.
- CLEANING - this is a separate cost to be paid when the hall is hired
- BAR STAFF - dependent on numbers, 1 under 50 people, mi n of 2 people under 100 guests and above 100 one more per each 25 guests to a max of 150 guests. Price on request.
- TENNIS COURTS (Weekday corporate events) , if required, how many?
OPTIONAL EXTRAS
- MUSIC? Will you be playing music? Music can generally be played until 11pm with the hall cleared by midnight for evening hires. Everyone needs to have vacated the premisis by 12.30
- CORKAGE OR USE OF OUR BAR?
- LIGHTING AND SOUND SYSTEM? This includes: amplifier, mixing desk, 4 speakers & microphone (suitable for iPoD, PC or CD player . Prices on request.
- PROJECTOR? We have a projector and sound system for use at corporate events?
- CATERING? We can provide introductions to local businesses.

Deposit and Payment Terms
- The cost to hire the hall is £500 (£350 for members)
- Bar Staff. One person is required for every 50 guests with a minimum of two bar staff for an adult party of up to 100 people. For every further 25 people an extra bar person is required up to the max of 150 guests. Cost on request.
- Hire of the hall includes the following furniture: Ten 4’ x 2’ tables, Three 3’ x 3’ tables and up to 80 matching chairs, Four 2’ x 2’ tables and a 6’ x 2’ catering table plus a further 16 matching chairs
- Children's parties during the day time are charged at £50 per hour
- Cleaning is charged on top, £100 for adult parties
- Maximum capacity of venue: 150 people
- £200 deposit is payable on confirmation of your booking which will be repaid within 1 week of the hire date). The Gardens Lawn Tennis Club reserves the right all or part of the deposit to cover breakages or damage or to restore the venue to its original cleanliness
- Corkage: by prior arrangement from £7.50 per bottle (for wine or champagne only)
Conditions of Hire
- Full cost of hire must be settled by bank transfer or credit card at least 72 hours in advance
- Alcohol: The terms of our licence means guests are not allowed to bring in their own alcohol or soft drinks onto the premises (the only exception is if a corkage charge has been agreed). If guests contravene this without prior agreement, we reserve the right to confiscate any alchol and may ask the offending guests to leave.
- Due to the terms of our licence we are unable to host parties for 18-21 year olds.
- Please respect our neighbours when leaving (particularly when your hire ends late in the evening).
- Music must finish no later than 11pm
- Hall must be cleared by 12.00am
- Guests must depart the venue no later than 12.00am
- No helium balloons and no sellotape or staples to be used on the walls
SMALL PRINT
- Gardens reserves the absolute right to refuse hire to any person or group whose proposed activity is not in keeping with the declared objects of the Trust or is not, in their view, an appropriate use of the Community facility.
- The use of the word ‘hire’ in this document denotes a licence that will be terminable immediately on notice by the club.
- If deemed necessary, users of the Hall may be required to provide evidence of satisfactory insurance cover for their particular activity.
- Hirers are responsible for the insurance of their own property brought into the hall. The Trust is not liable for the loss of or damage to Hirer’s property.
- Smoking is not allowed anywhere on the premises.
- All chairs are to be stacked after use and tables folded and returned to either where they were originally found or to the location indicated for storage.
- Care must be taken to avoid marking the fabric of the Hall. Nothing may be attached to the walls or the windows without prior approval.
- No candles, naked flames or fireworks of any kind are allowed.
- No bouncy castles are allowed.
- The fridge is to be left clean and empty of food and drink. Please bring your own tea towels. Cleaning equipment is left available in the kitchenette. Please follow any printed instructions on how to clean the floor and walls.
- There are no dustbins provided for Hall users. Please take all your rubbish with you when you leave. Nothing is to be left outside the Hall.
- Make sure you turn out all the lights and lock all doors as you have been instructed.
- There is no car parking allocated for the users of the Hall, but a couple of vehicles can be left on the driveway and the space used for loading and unloading. It should be noted that the Council rigorously enforces the parking restrictions within the area.
